At one of the events there were children there that I know would have been more noisy than her.

I hadn’t heard of holiday weaning, but it makes sense. When my baby was a newborn, it used to bug me that people would take him away and try to jiggle him when he was hungry. I like your idea that keeping him in a sling would help prevent having him stolen away!

And I think you’re right that most no-kids policies refer to toddlers on up rather than babes in arms. Now what to do with our destructive, rambunctious 2-year-old… ;)
